Hugh Cronwright - Barfoot-and-Thompson

Having lived on the North Shore for over 30 years, Hugh Cronwright has an extensive knowledge of the local property market. He currently lives in Browns Bay, and over the years has been actively involved with the local schools, Torbay Boating Club and various charities.

Hugh has good personal experience in buying and selling property, both his own family homes and helping three of his adult children with their homes on the Shore. His own homes have required his special handyman touch, giving him good insight into increasing the value of a property.

Hugh joined Barfoot & Thompson because the company’s philosophy of honesty, integrity and trust aligns perfectly with his own beliefs, and the approach he has used throughout his selling career. Years of experience in the international market has proved to him that you cannot beat that combination in the long run.

In previous roles he has worked as an International Sales Director and General Manager, and has also had the honour of serving a number of years as Convenor of Judges for the Export Awards in Auckland. Now with several years of real estate experience, both residential and commercial, Hugh looks forward to assisting you with your property needs. Born in South Africa, with a Russian partner, and years of substantial business experience in many overseas countries, Hugh is quite comfortable in working with any nationalities.

Hugh knows only too well the stresses and concerns involved with buying and selling, but also the excitement, joy and satisfaction of achieving a good outcome! He has the patience and skills to work with you to help you achieve your real estate dreams, be it your family home, or an investment property. Call him to discuss your ideas or needs.
